The Sich-3-R Earth radar observation satellite is developed under the Ukraine’s National Special-purpose Scientific and Technical Space Program to obtain high-resolution radar images of Earth surface regardless of light conditions and weather.
The satellite payload consists of a synthetic-aperture radar comprising a 3-m dia. reflector antenna.
The satellite is developed based on a unified bus with 3-axis active Earth orientation. An ammonia propulsion system in the satellite supports orbital correction maneuvers.
