Antares is a medium-lift launch vehicle designed to deliver payloads to the International Space Station. It is single-piece, with a 3.9-m diameter body comprising two tandem stages.
The first stage of Antares is liquid-propellant, burning RP-1 kerosene (fuel) and liquid oxygen (oxidizer).
The second stage uses a Castor-30XL solid-propellant rocket motor.
