Yuzhnoye SDO is engaged in designing jig equipment, has measuring and recording instrumentation, performs tests of SRM of up to 150 tf thrust.
Yuzhnoye SDO possesses the test benches for firing tests of large-size and small-size SRM.
The test bench for firing tests of large-size SRM is equipped with measuring and recording instrumentation ensuring measurements of pressure and pulsations in combustion chamber, engine thrust, vibrations, temperature, displacements and deformations of SRM structure in operation process.
On the test bench, the equipment for high-speed and thermal-imaging shooting is installed.
The test bench for testing small-size SRM is equipped with measuring and recording instrumentation ensuring measurements of combustion chamber pressure, engine thrust, temperature, displacements and deformations of SRM structure in operation process.
On the test bench, the equipment for photo-and-video shooting is installed.
The available test benches allow conducting vibration and dynamic tests, and the heat and cold chambers allow conducting accelerated environmental tests and alternate thermostating before firing tests.
The test benches are equipped with firefighting system.
