Test bench equipment allows experimental research to study the gas-dynamic effect of the propulsion system plume at the liftoff in quasi-static surroundings.
Test objectives are:
- clarification of the geometric parameters (configuration) of the gas exhaust duct;
- clarification and confirmation of the gas-dynamic effect parameters on the LV and LC components, and LC as a whole.
Experimental research is conducted on the LV and LC scale models.
Propulsion system plume is simulated using gas-generator powered by “air-kerosene” propellants.
Test bench provides:
- five degrees of freedom for the mutual positioning of the models;
- pressure registration on the surfaces of the models.
