The Dnepr space launch system is used for quick bull's-eye injection of spacecraft weighing under 4 tons into circular and elliptical orbits. The three-stage lightweight Dnepr rocket designed by Yuzhnoye is derived from the most powerful intercontinental ballistic missile in the world, the 15А18 (SS-18 Satan). The rocket is operated from Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan and Yasny launch base in the Russian Federation.
