A control system, based on efficient new-generation digital computer complexes (onboard and ground) and high-precision command instrumentation continuously operating during combat duty, utilized highly hardened circuitry.
A new thermal control system maintained required temperature for continuously operating instruments.
33 launches in all were conducted, 97.4% of them successful.
