The air cooler is installed in re - circulation ventilation
systems of the leak - tight shells of reactors of atomic power plants with UVER-1000
water - water power reactors. The air cooler is a plate rib heat exchanger.
It consists of 2 modules that are joined by flange connectors. Each module is
a soldered package consisting of alternating plane - oval pipes and corrugated
spacers. The plane - oval pipes serve to form a hydraulic passage and the corrugated
spacers serve to form a gas passage and are made split with displaced ribs.
The structure is made of corrosion - resistant steels. The modules are made
by method of soldering a package in a vacuum furnace with high - temperature
solder according to the technology tried - out for space rocket hardware:
- use of most up - to - date rocket technologies in the development
and manufacture of air cooler;
- the material of heat exchangers is stainless steel which increases the service
