The Yuzhnoye SDO's scientific-technical potential and current
cooperation in the Ukrainian space industry allow to build a geostationary communication
satellite based on a universal space platform.

The geostationary communication satellite is intended:
- to provide the services of regional and international television and
radio broadcasting;
- for direct television broad casting;
- to provide multimedia and Internet services;
- to transmit data, telephone messages, video conferences and Intranet
based on VSAT.
The satellite is built on the basis of a universal space platform.
